firm. Although our clients are located throughout the
country, we are proud to have been operating in the heart of
beautiful Rancho Bernardo for more than two generations,
specializing in all areas of Federal and State

clients. We serve a range of individuals, and
corporations, and are experts in the financial issues and tax

Jeff Register, CPA, EA
Principle
I have my bachelors degree in accounting and have been
specializing in taxation since 1998. I have been an
Enrolled Agent since 2001 and a California
Certified Public Accountant since 2003. I have been an
active member of the board of California Society of Enolled
Agents, Palomar Chapter since 2001.
Being an EA and CPA demonstrates my training in the
fields of accounting and taxation, which is beyond the level
of training of most licensed professionals in those
fields. I am required to complete extensive continuing
education each year to maintain my licenses.
I care about each and every one of my clients. You will
always be served personally by me, and will never have to
worry about multiple staff members having access to your
private financial affairs or novice accountants who lack the
experience to give you the best advice.
Katherine Register, EA
Principle
I have been working at A & S Consultants since 2002 and I
am an Enrolled Agent . I previously
examined qualified medical expense reimbursements for a local
flexible spending account administrator.
I currently assist with income tax
preparation, payroll tax preparation, and
bookkeeping.
I am required to complete continuing education in
the field of taxation each year to maintain my
license.
Robert Schneider
Founder
Bob Schneider was a Public Accountant since 1950 and
an Enrolled Agent since 1976. Sadly, he
passed away in 2004. A & S Consultants started as
Abrams & Schneider Accountants, in Rolling Hills Estates,
as a partnership between Bob and his brother-in-law.
The firm was changed from an accountancy corporation in 1983
when Bob and his beloved wife Bernice moved to Rancho
Bernardo, and established A & S Consultants,
Inc., a tax and business consulting firm.
We have the privilege of still serving clients from the
original firm, some have been with us for nearly 40 years,
and we now provide services to children and
grandchildren. The legacy that Bob and Bernice
Schneider passed on is our proudest
endeavor.
